Healey signs order requiring data centers to receive local approval
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey announced new rules for data centers in the state. Under her order, companies that want to build data centers must now reach community benefits agreements with local communities and meet state standards before they can get state approval. This requirement gives communities a say in whether data centers are built in their areas.
