The deal between you and Slantwise

By creating an account or using Slantwise, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. You must be at least 13 years old to use Slantwise.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.

Use Slantwise for personal, non-commercial news reading. Please don't: scrape or bulk-download content, attempt to break or probe our security, resell or redistribute the service, or submit unlawful, abusive, or misleading content through community features (such as orientation disputes or story flags). We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Slantwise aggregates headlines, summaries, and links to journalism published by third-party outlets. We don't write that content and don't endorse or guarantee its accuracy. It belongs to its respective publishers. Orientation labels reflect independent ratings and our best judgment, not a statement of fact about any outlet.

The Slantwise Supporter tier is an optional paid subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout (currently $4 per month or $30 per year). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged the then-current price, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize these recurring charges. We'll show the price and billing terms before you confirm.

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation stops future renewals; your Supporter access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription.

We work hard to keep Slantwise useful and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular content will be available. To the extent permitted by law, Slantwise isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

We may update these terms as the service evolves; we'll note the date above and give notice of material changes. Continued use after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end access that violates these terms, and you may stop using Slantwise at any time.
