Hunter Biden's paternity and child support case in Arkansas

The two went back to court over money and over the girl's name. In 2022, Hunter Biden asked the court to lower his child support payments, citing a substantial change in his financial circumstances.^[2] That December, Roberts asked for the girl's last name to be changed to Biden, saying the change would preserve her legacy as a member of the Biden family.^[3]

The case grew more contentious in 2023. Roberts's lawyers asked the court to jail him for ignoring orders to turn over financial records,^[4] and the judge ordered him to attend all hearings in person.^[5] At a hearing in May, the judge ordered him to answer more written questions about his investments, art sales and other finances,^[6] and in June he sat for a deposition in Little Rock.^[7] Weeks later the two reached their settlement.
