‘We buy ugly houses' president sentenced to federal prison for fraud scheme, DOJ says
Charles Carrier, the president of the Dallas-based investment firm behind the “We buy ugly houses” program, was sentenced Thursday to federal prison for investment fraud and ordered to pay more than $24 million in restitution, the Department of Justice says.
