Washington gets $45M in VA grants to fight veteran homelessness
The Department of Veterans Affairs is distributing $1.17 billion in grants across the country to help homeless veterans and those at risk of homelessness. The grants are being awarded to hundreds of organizations in all 50 states. Pennsylvania received over $44 million of this funding for 34 community organizations. Most recently, Arkansas was awarded more than $13 million to support organizations assisting homeless veterans in the state.
