US military says it killed 4 in strike on alleged drug-smuggling boat in the Caribbean
The U.S. military has conducted multiple strikes on boats in the Caribbean and Pacific that it said were being used to smuggle drugs, killing more than 230 people and destroying at least 80 vessels since September 2025. A UN human rights official has concluded there are reasonable grounds to believe these attacks may constitute crimes against humanity. The military says the campaign is aimed at reducing drug flow into the United States.
