Map shows where the 2026 'super' El Niño could bring lots of rain, extreme drought

Scientists are forecasting that El Niño in 2026 could be exceptionally strong. A UN climate agency warned this could be the strongest El Niño in decades, potentially bringing severe weather including both heavy rain and extreme drought in different regions.
