Catholic bishops apologize after video shows them praying over Trump in Oval Office
A group of Catholic bishops met with President Trump in the Oval Office shortly before the midterm elections, where they prayed over him. Several of the bishops who attended have since apologized, saying they felt exploited or manipulated by the meeting. Five bishops have publicly distanced themselves from any political interpretation of the gathering, though the U.S. bishops' conference stated it had no role in organizing the event.
