TikTok reaches first state settlement over teen safety claims
TikTok has reached a settlement with Alabama over concerns about how the platform protects teenagers. As part of the agreement, TikTok will add new safety features to its platform, including time limits for teen users and expanded parental controls. This is TikTok's first state-level settlement on teen safety issues.
