Steve Bannon, a longtime ally of Donald Trump, reported to a federal prison in Connecticut in July 2024 to serve a four-month sentence for contempt of Congress, after the Supreme Court denied his request to stay free while he appealed. He had defied a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
