New York reaches settlement with family of Robert Brooks
New York state has reached a settlement with the family of Robert Brooks, the Rochester man who died after he was beaten by correction officers at Marcy Correctional Facility in December 2024. The Times Union reports the settlement is expected to total at least $10 million.
