Senate convenes Mayorkas impeachment trial
The Senate convened the impeachment trial of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in April 2024, and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he would move to dismiss it, saying the House articles over his handling of the border did not meet the standard of high crimes and misdemeanors.
