SC Arts Commission board denies funding for LGBTQIA+ nonprofits
The South Carolina Arts Commission board has denied funding for two Upstate nonprofits that prioritize LGBTQIA+ voices. In a meeting held Thursday afternoon, officials chose not to fund both the Greenville Gay Men's Chorus and Proud Mary Theatre Company.
