Russia jails four journalists for alleged links to Alexei Navalny’s movement
A Russian court sentenced four journalists, including two former DW journalists, to five and a half years in prison in April 2025 on extremism charges, accusing them of working with late opposition leader Alexei Navalny's Anti-Corruption Foundation. They denied the charges.
