Record-low Danube River levels threaten shutdown of Hungary's nuclear plant

Hungary's nuclear power plant nearly shut down because the Danube River's water levels dropped significantly due to extreme heat, leaving insufficient water to cool the reactor. Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced the closure after the plant was forced to operate at very low capacity.
