Palestinian president, again denied a visa to speak at UN, addresses leaders on prerecorded video
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was denied a U.S. visa to attend the United Nations General Assembly in person, marking the second year this has happened to him and other top Palestinian officials. Instead of attending, Abbas delivered his remarks to world leaders through a prerecorded video message from his office in Ramallah. The visa denial prevented him from speaking directly at the gathering.
