OpenAI announced that its artificial intelligence systems solved the Navier-Stokes problem, a major mathematics problem unsolved for decades, in less than four days using millions of dollars worth of computing power. The company said approximately 10,000 of its AI systems worked together to crack the problem in 88 hours. However, a dispute has since emerged over whether this claim is accurate.
