States, cities sue over 'public charge' green card restrictions
New York and 21 other states have sued the Trump administration over a new rule from the Department of Homeland Security. The rule would give immigration officials more power to deny green cards, visas, or entry to the United States when they evaluate applications. The states are asking courts to block the rule from taking effect.
