New Jersey Local Finance Board approves Newark’s nearly $500M elementary school lease
The proposed Riverfront Elementary School would be built at 56 Freeman St. and is expected to open in spring 2029. The Newark Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution to pursue the lease in March.
