New York judge orders city to scrap Mamdani’s rollout of tax on second homes
New York City's Mayor Zohran Mamdani proposed a tax on second homes, but a Staten Island judge ruled that the city must stop rolling out this policy. Despite the court order, the administration appears to have continued with the tax implementation. An opponent of the tax, Randy Mastro, has filed multiple lawsuits against the city since June to challenge it.
