Witkoff and Kushner, in a first, visit Ukraine for peace talks
President Donald Trump has sent two special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine. The envoys first visited Moscow to meet with Putin, then traveled to Kyiv to hold talks with Ukrainian officials. This marks the first such visit by these envoys as part of Trump's stated goal to achieve peace in the conflict, now in its fifth year.
