Judge rejects DOJ request for access to unredacted NJ voter rolls

The Trump administration's Department of Justice requested access to New Jersey's voter roll data to investigate noncitizen voting, but Democratic Governor Mikie Sherrill refused, saying the request had no legal basis. A federal judge has now sided with the state, dismissing the DOJ's lawsuit for access to the unredacted voter information.
