Undercover Camera Catches Newsom Predicting DSA’s Rise in Democratic Party
California Governor Gavin Newsom, a potential 2028 presidential candidate, was recorded on an undercover camera discussing the Democratic Party's direction. In the recording, Newsom characterized the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) as a "mainstream democratic movement" and appeared to acknowledge that the party is undergoing a socialist shift. The comments suggest Newsom does not view this ideological change as problematic.
