Federal judge: DOJ cannot request states' voter lists for eligibility database
A federal judge has ruled that the Department of Justice cannot request voter lists from states to maintain a federal database for checking voter eligibility. The judge's 78-page decision struck down the entire voter list maintenance policy that the DOJ had been using, and the ruling applies nationwide.
