Supreme Court rejects Missouri’s request to use congressional map with extra GOP seat

Missouri had created a new congressional map that would have given Republicans a chance to gain an additional seat in the House of Representatives for the November midterm elections. The state asked the Supreme Court to allow this map to be used. Justice Brett Kavanaugh and the full Supreme Court rejected Missouri's request, blocking the state from using the new map in the upcoming elections.
