Ethiopian federal forces have retaken control of Mekelle airport in the northern Tigray region from Tigrayan fighters. The airport had previously been taken over by Tigrayan forces, which led to commercial flights being suspended. Residents of Mekelle reported the federal forces' return to control of the airport.
