Cave fossils in China reveal lives of mysterious human relatives
Archaeologists in southwestern China have excavated fossilized remains from a cave belonging to an extinct human relative known as Denisovans. The discovery includes a forearm bone, marking the first time this particular bone type has been found from this population. These remains date to the late Middle Pleistocene period and are providing new information about how Denisovans lived.
