'Free Speech Absolutist' Elon Musk Threatens To Sue Documentary Filmmaker For Being Too Mean To Him

Documentarian Alex Gibney premiered a four-hour documentary about Elon Musk at the Venice Film Festival, which received positive reviews and a standing ovation. The film explores questions about Musk's influence and impact, including an AI-generated interview using his own statements. Musk responded by calling the documentary a "hit piece" and insulting Gibney. He then escalated his criticism in an extended public rant and indicated he plans to sue over the film.
