DOJ sues Hawaii, Arkansas, Utah, D.C. over in-state tuition laws
The Justice Department has filed 25 lawsuits against states and DC, claiming they violate federal law by offering in-state tuition rates to immigrant students. Four of these suits target Hawaii, Arkansas, Utah, and DC specifically. The cases are currently in litigation as the federal government seeks to stop these jurisdictions from providing the tuition assistance.
