Democratic socialist Angie Nixon clinches surprise primary win in Florida US Senate race

Angie Nixon, a progressive state representative, unexpectedly won Florida's Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. Senator Bernie Sanders endorsed her candidacy. Nixon has since stated she is not a socialist, despite her membership in the Democratic Socialists of America.
