DeepSeek and Huawei are partnering to build open-source AI chip software to cut Nvidia reliance
Two Chinese tech companies, DeepSeek and Huawei, announced a partnership to develop open-source software for Huawei's AI chips. DeepSeek released software modules for Huawei's Ascend platform, including a programming language designed to compete with Nvidia's widely used CUDA software. The goal is to reduce dependence on Nvidia's technology for AI chip development.
