Colleen Slemmer, murdered by Christa Pike, remembered as a ‘computer geek’ with a nurturing heart
In January 1995, Colleen Slemmer, a 19-year-old who had moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to study computing, was murdered by Christa Pike. Slemmer was described as a driven and caring person with a passion for computers. Pike was convicted of the killing. Slemmer's death ended the life of a young woman pursuing her educational goals.
