Arizona researcher wins $300,000 as DOT awards $1 million in infrastructure challenge
The U.S. Department of Transportation held an innovation challenge and awarded a total of $1 million in prizes. An Arizona researcher named Lacy Greening won $300,000 of that money for designing an AI system that improves freight logistics by connecting planning systems that previously operated separately.
