Abbott agrees to settle DOJ lawsuit over baby formula plant contamination

Abbott Laboratories operated a baby formula manufacturing plant where contamination occurred. The contaminated powdered baby formula is suspected of causing infant deaths. The Department of Justice sued Abbott over how the company ran the plant. Abbott has agreed to settle the lawsuit by paying $385 million.
