4 cases of 'rabbit fever' confirmed on Long Island, health department says

A rare infectious disease called tularemia, also known as rabbit fever, has been detected on Long Island. Health officials confirmed four cases of this tick-borne illness, which can spread through contact with small dead animals. The cases are currently under investigation.
