24,000 immigrant children stand to lose legal representation

A federal contract that paid for lawyers to help immigrant children in court cases is expiring. This means more than 24,000 unaccompanied immigrant children facing deportation may lose access to legal representation. Some organizations providing this help say they will have to reduce or stop their services.
