In October 2026 a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Houston struck Miguel Parra-Hernandez with a car while pursuing him, breaking his leg.[1] The Harris County district attorney said the officer appeared to have hit him intentionally, and on Oct. 30 announced that the officer, Mario Alberto Morales, had been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.[2][3]
